Let’s Love Local Gift Market was established in 2015 and has grown into one of the largest gift markets in South Africa, offering approximately 280,000 high-quality, locally sourced products. With a diverse selection of goods, the market caters to both local shoppers and the thousands of tourists who visit the Garden Route during the December holidays.

Previously known as Boerevintage Gift Market, the event has been rebranded as Let’s Love Local Gift Market starting in 2025. This change reflects the growth and evolution of its host company, Boerevintage (Pty) Ltd, which is expanding into other areas of event planning and business. While the name has changed, the market remains exactly the same  -  the same organizers, the same venue, and the same dedication to quality and service.

Each year, the market showcases around 220 vendors from across the country and occupies 1,750 square meters to accommodate both vendors and visitors. It is held in a spacious clear-span aluminum frame tent on level grass, providing a comfortable and accessible shopping experience.

Beyond being a shopping destination, Let’s Love Local Gift Market plays a vital role in supporting small businesses and the local economy. The market not only provides a valuable platform for vendors to grow their brands but also creates employment opportunities, hiring 50 local workers during the event period.

The market is deeply committed to the local community, with 90% of its service providers based in George. These include security, sanitation and cleaning services, venue hire, marketing, equipment rentals, insurance, photography, and more.

Recognizing its contribution to the local economy, George Tourism has endorsed the market as a key event that enhances the December holiday experience, making George a more attractive destination for tourists.

If you’re a creative entrepreneur, small business owner, artist, artisan, or crafter, you can become part of Let’s Love Local Gift Market and showcase your work at one of South Africa’s most beloved holiday shopping experiences.

"There are very few places that I can drag my husband to with no kicking and screaming. He actually even bought Christmas gifts, including one for me. I did most of my shopping for my family at this market because I found a large variety of unique, useful and well-priced gifts. These included jewellery, coasters, clothes, body butter with a divine fenjal scent, beeswax products, beautiful ceramics, attractive fire lighters, leather braai gloves, lots of heavenly scented stuff and if you are still reading be sure to go."

Lojandie Badenhorst
"Honestly one of the best Christmas markets I've been to, such a highlight every year. Well organised and crowd control makes it a pleasant experience!"
